Dress up your nails with Broadway Nails!

So, you all know that I love to do my nails. Thats a FACT.
Nail polish, artificial nails, acrylic nails - everything, I've done it/tried it all. But, one thing that I have never heard of or tried was stick-on nail wraps. Now, one of my absolute favorite nail brands, Broadway Nails, has created a new product called the Nail Dress!

Spooky Spiderweb Nails!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!! =)

Since today is Halloween I knew I needed to wear a pair of my limited edition Halloween nails by Kiss Nails!! I already wore "Hayride" this past week, so today I put on "Pumpkin" to celebrate Halloween in style! These nails are PERFECT for Halloween :)

These artificial nails have a spooky twist on a "French manicure". It's a spiderweb pattern with a black tip with a line of silver glitter separating the web from the black tip. There is also a silver glittery spider as a finishing touch, so cute & perfect for Halloween!

I absolutely loveeee the style/pattern of these nails and I am so excited to be wearing them, but I just couldn't deal with the extra-long length! (texting was near impossible!!) So, I grabbed my nail clipper & nail file and cut them down to a much more practical, shorter length!

Still as spooky & festive, just more manageable!! =)
I really love these nails & I hope that Kiss Nails comes out with some limited edition nails for the holiday season!! how cute would little Hanukkah & Christmas nails be?!! hahaha :)

Vamp Up Your Halloween with Kiss Nails!!

As you all know, Kiss Nails are my favorite brand of artificial nails and I wear them very often! So, being that it is Halloween time, they have created four styles of limited edition Halloween nails that are sure to add the perfect finishing touch to your Halloween look!

The four styles of the nails are (from left to right) - Witch, Ghost, Pumpkin, and Hayride.

In addition to the four styles of the artificial nails, Kiss also created four styles of limited edition Halloween nail art, body art and eye & face art!! Below are the photos of the two different styles of nail art, one of more "sweet" with cute skulls, black cats and colorful bats & stars, while the second one has a more of a "spooky" feel to it! Spiderwebs, bats, black skulls, and spiders! 

Then there is the body art and the eye & face art!! I loveee these two sets! 

(as you can tell, I've already used one of the body art stickers, it was a really pretty red rose!)

The eye & face art is SO pretty! I am planning to use it to add some bling to my eye makeup :)

On Wednesday I started to get into the Halloween spirit and I put on the artificial nails in "Hayride" - They looked awesome! I LOVE the black-red fade look that the nails have and the black design on it is subtle but still so pretty! I would wear this nail style all throughout the year - not just Halloween!! It looked so pretty!

I love them & I got so many compliments on them! They really look like they were airbrushed at the nail salon :) I'm kind of upset that they are only Halloween limited edition & that they wont be around long, I need to stock up on this style!!

Chloé's Nails of The Week! (week of August 29th)

My nails for this week are so hot! They are inspired by Harajuku fashion & trends. They are bright and totally fun! These are perfect nails to wear to end the summer with!

This style is follows the "mismatch manicure" trend with bright neon colored tips, a thin white stripe and silver glitter! Since these nails will catch everyone's eye, this style is for confident girls only!! ;)

"DON'T CONFORM, MIX IT UP!" That definitely was the rule when this set of nails were created!

I love these nails!! I adore bright neon colors on the nails during the summer, so having a bunch of hot neon colors on my nails definitely let me end the summer with a bang!!

I also gave myself a pedicure with a polish that matched the neon theme of these nails perfectly!

Chloé's Nails of The Week! (week of August 22th)

The nails that I wore last week received a ton of compliments and they were perfect for me - pretty & pink! I absolutely loved them! I adore hot pink - especially on nails - so these nails are definitely one of my favorite sets.

Chloé's Nails Of The Week!

So, being that people very frequently stop me & ask me about my nails, I decided to start a weekly video on my YouTube Beauty Channel that would answer all those questions! ("what nail polish color are you wearing?", "what brand of nail polish is that?", "are those fake nails?", "what brand & style of artificial nails are those?", etc..)  

Now there will be a weekly video of...CHLOÉ'S NAILS OF THE WEEK! ♥

At the start of this past week (I posed the video on Saturday July 24th) I did the first video of this weekly series. I have gotten wonderful feedback on this video, so I am excited to keep doing them :)

The artificial nails that I was wearing were the Broadway Fashion Diva Color Changing nails, in the style "sunshine". I loved them!

How To: Apply Artificial Nails Like a Pro!

I am a hugee fan of artificial nails, so it was only natural that I make a video to let everyone know how to apply the fake nails that I love so much! A lot of girls complain about artificial nails because they say that they either fall off too easily, or they get air bubbles under the nails. Those two problems are very easy to avoid if you correctly apply the nails! So, I just wanted to make sure everyone knows how to properly apply artificial nails!

Tutorial : Permanent French Acrylic Tips!

Hey everyone ♥
If you have seen my previous entry, it was also a tutorial on acrylic nails. (That entry can be found here) That style was just for regular acrylic nails, but this tutorial is to achieve the style refereed to in salons as "Permanent French"

I loveeeee this style of nails and when people compliment me on them & I tell them I did it myself, they think I am lying to them!! haha ;) This style called permanent french is very classy and beautiful - not to mention pricey, getting it done can cost around $35 in a normal nail salon or up to $100+ in high end salons or spas! This is my do-it-yourself alternative for much cheaper - although I've been known to drop some major money & spoil myself at the spa/salon ; )

*FWI - all the info (text) for this tutorial and the steps will correspond with the photos below the text* This tutorial is done on myself & all the photos were taken by me while I was doing my nails. (yes, I am an impressive multi-tasker lol) *

In this tutorial I will be using the 'Kiss Acrylic Sculpture Kit' (around $20 in drugstores)

This kit comes with acrylic liquid, nail glue, acrylic powder, a manicure stick, brush, two sided nail file/buffer, and two sets of nail tips - clear and white french. For this style, we will use the white french tips.

Before we start, make sure that your natural nails are clean of any nail polish, glue, ect..and that they are all filed down short and are even.

The first step is to take out all of the white french tips and "try them on". Fit each nail for a tip that fits perfectly. Lay all the nails out, so that they are in order & ready to be glued on.

The second step is to glue the artificial nails onto the tips of your natural nails, where the indentation of the tip meets your natural nails edge. Make sure to glue the nails on well!

The next step is to trim the nails down to the length you want them to be. Using a nail clipper (not included with the set!) clip down the nails to the desired length. Then, use the nail file to give them a smoother cut and file the nail & the edges.

Next, get out the acrylic liquid, the acrylic powder, the manicure stick, the brush & a little cup (a shot glass works perfectly) or something small that you can pour the acrylic liquid into.

1. Pour some acrylic liquid into the cup.
2. Take your brush & dip it into the acrylic liquid to get it wet.
3. Then, dip the wet brush into the acrylic powder & pull it out.
4. Take the mixture that is on the brush and apply it to the nail. First start at the base and then smooth it out over the entire nail (your natural nail & the tip) and shape it into the shape of the nail.

*you can make the nail as thin or as thick as you want, depending on your preference*

Do that process to all of the nails. Of course you have tried your best to make the acrylic nail as smooth as you could, but don't worry if they do not look 100% perfect at first. Right now the nails may look slightly bumpy or uneven, but we will fix that in the next step!!
(They look so pretty already!!)

Now - take a nail buffer and buff down the nails until they look & feel smooth. Also, take the nail file and file them down once more to get a smooth and straight edge.

For this style of permanent french, I personally think that it looks best without any nail polish on the tips. I really like the look of a matte french tip. So, I do not put on a top coat of clear polish, but - if you would like too - to make your french tips shine, go ahead!

AND NOW WE HAVE A PERFECTLY DONE, SALON-QUALITY PERMANENT FRENCH SET OF ACRYLIC TIPS! YAY :)

Tutorial : Acrylic Nail Tips!

Hey dolls ♥ IM BACKK ;)
I've been wanting to post this blog up a while ago (like a week & a half ago) but then I got really sick for about a week with a stomach virus, so I didn't do anything! Anyway - HERE IT IS!!

People always ask me how do I do my nails or ask me where I get them done, so here is your answer! I usually (but not always!) do my own acrylic tips! Not everyone can do it, but I am one of the few that can (or at least are brave enough to try lol)

*FWI - all the info (text) for this tutorial and the steps will correspond with the photos below the text* Also, this tutorial is of me doing my sisters nails.*

In this tutorial, I will show you how to do your own acrylic tips using the 'Kiss Acrylic Sculpture Kit' (around $20 in drugstores)

This kit comes with acrylic liquid, nail glue, acrylic powder, a manicure stick, brush, two sided nail file/buffer, and two sets of nail tips - clear and white french.

Before you start - make sure that your natural nails are clean of any nail polish, glue, ect..and that they are all filed down short and are even.

LETS BEGIN :)

The first step is to fit all of the tips to your nails & glue them on to the tips of your nails, where the indentation of the tip meets your natural nail. Make sure to glue the nails on well!

Now - take a nail buffer and buff down the nails until they look & feel smooth. Also, take the nail file and file them down once more to get a smooth and straight edge.

Once you have buffed & filed your nails to perfection, wash your hands. (you don't want any nail dust or anything to be on the nails when you polish them - it will mess the polish up!)

After you have washed your hands, take a nail polish base and apply it to the tips.

Finally, follow up with two coats of your desired nail polish & a top coat of clear polish to make them shine!

YAY :) YOU HAVE JUST DONE YOUR OWN SALON-QUALITY ACRYLIC NAIL TIPS!!
